The Game Awards 2014 – Die Gewinner

Heute Nacht waren die The Game Awards 2014. Eine Preisverleihung, bei der vor allem Videospiele ausgezeichnet wurden, aber auch einige Gamer selbst. Bereits im Vorfeld der Veranstaltung gab es jede Menge Schlagzeilen, da dieses Event – wie andere seiner Art – längst nicht mehr nur eine Übergabe von Auszeichnungen darstellt. Stattdessen wurde der feierliche Rahmen genutzt, um diverse Ankündigungen zu machen. Im Newsbereich meiner Seite könnt ihr euch etwa den neuen The Witcher 3 Trailer ansehen, einen ersten Blick auf das neue Projekt von Hazelight werfen oder einen Blick in den The Banner Saga 2 Trailer werfen.

Doch wer wurde heute Nacht mit einem der begehrten Preise ausgezeichnet? Zum Spiel des Jahres wurde das Rollenspiel Dragon Age: Inquisition gekürt. BioWare dürfte sich über diese Auszeichnung sehr gefreut haben – insbesondere, da man für Mass Effect 3 und Dragon Age 2 reichlich Kritik einstecken musste. Umso erfreulicher der Sieg in der Kategorie Game of the Year.
